I have worked with students of many different grade levels who have come from very diverse backgrounds. My strong interest in education developed when I worked in the Peace Corps as an Education Volunteer. While living in Burkina Faso, I taught health sciences, French, and math to young pupils from elementary school through high school age. In the two years that I served there, I had the opportunity to help students to grow and watch them develop their love for learning.I've done a lot of tutoring here in the US, including teaching college athletes kinesiology and chemistry. I've also tutored high school students in medical terminology. I attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and now I am studying at Boston University, where I hope to receive a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.I'm excited to be tutoring again because I value the connections that I make with students, such as the bonds that I formed with my students in Burkina Faso. It is very rewarding to be able to increase a student's confidence and help him to reach his full potential.Outside of tutoring, my interests include travel, languages, theater, and dance. Physical fitness is very important to me as well.
